FixYourWeakness™
Movement is Medicine and Play

6-Balance-Exercises-For-Seniors.jpg

Most of us grow up moving one way—favoring one hand, one leg, one turn, one direction. And the body remembers that. Over time, it builds patterns: some strong, some shaky, some silently waiting to turn into pain or injury. But the body was never designed to be one-sided. It’s a system. A full-circle, left-and-right, front-and-back, rotate-and-react system. That’s true for kids learning coordination, adults staying active, athletes pushing limits, and older adults rebuilding balance.

When we train both sides of the body and move through multiple directions, we don’t just get stronger—we get more connected, more stable, more confident, and more capable. Power becomes smoother. Movement feels better. Injuries become less likely. And performance—at any level—goes up.

A clean and clear introduction to making it simple. No fluff, no academic word salad:

“Most athletes train the way they play: one side dominant, one direction favored, one pattern repeated. And that’s exactly where weakness and injury sneak in. Our approach flips that script. By training bilaterally (on both sides) and multidirectionally (in every angle the body can move), we build genuine strength—balanced, resilient, and adaptable strength. This is how you fix the imbalances that limit performance and enhance the natural gifts you already have. Whether you’re throwing a javelin, launching a discus, or bowling a cricket ball, the body works as a coordinated system. When both sides of that system are trained and tuned, power becomes smoother, movement becomes safer, and performance reaches a different level—your level.”

Here are sharp, engaging posts crafted for clarity, fun, and interaction—each one is designed to complement our bilateral/multidirectional training clips we saw today seamlessly

This isn’t about being elite. It’s about being whole.

By incorporating play-based movement, FixYourWeakness™ promotes active participation and long-term commitment to therapy plans.

Core Components

• Turbojav™: Light, directional throwing to promote coordination, controlled reach, and trunk stability.

• TurboShot™: Soft, low-mass shotput for grip strength and safe upper-body work in seated or standing positions.

• Medicine Ball (2 lb): Improves controlled push/pull strength, bracing, and midline stability.

• Resistance Bands / PowerSleeve™: Offers progressive resistance for strength, joint control, and range of motion.

• TZA Targets: Encourages goal-oriented, external focus through safe throwing and reaching games.

Program Structure and Stages

Stage 1: Assisted / Seated Engagement
Focus on safe, supported movement. Reestablishes bilateral coordination and upright tolerance using tools such as bands and light medicine balls.

Stage 2: Supported Standing & Controlled Balance
Builds dynamic stability, trunk control, and confidence through progressive resistance and short-range Turbojav™ tosses.

Stage 3: Functional Confidence & Community Reintegration
Encourages multidirectional movement, coordination, and group participation. Ideal for advanced recovery and community-based rehab settings.

Interactive Games and Activities

Circle Toss (Turbojav™ Garbage Can Game)
Players stand in a circle and toss Turbojavs™ toward a central target or trash can. Promotes rotational control, bilateral reach, and accuracy. Therapeutic focus: coordination, trunk rotation, and engagement.

Circle Roll Relay (TurboShot™)
Patients roll and retrieve TurboShots™ across short distances. Builds grip, seated balance, and controlled release. Therapeutic focus: anticipatory posture and safe dynamic balance.

Band Relay Challenge
Teams perform controlled resistance movements in rhythm, enhancing timing, coordination, and endurance. Therapeutic focus: bilateral engagement and social motivation.

Target Toss Circuit
Participants aim at multiple TZA targets positioned at different angles. Promotes lateral stability, focus, and fun. Therapeutic focus: visual-motor coordination and proprioception.
